The beginning of our company WILDSIDE

𝑯𝒐𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒏 • it is June 8, 2024, the Night of Fashion in Arnhem. The streets are filled with fashion-conscious people, and in the middle of this vibrant atmosphere we, Manuel and Sien, open the doors of our dream store, Wildside. What a moment! ❤️

Our journey began in November of last year (2023). While on vacation in Italy, I had a dream about a shop below our house. We couldn’t stop talking about how great it would be. When we got back to the Netherlands, the unthinkable happened: the shop was for rent! Our friend who picked us up from the train station told us that the sign hadn’t been up when she was at our house earlier that day. Some things are just meant to be..

From that moment on, everything went into overdrive. We did research, made plans and pitched our idea. In May, we finally got the key and started the renovation. We laid a new floor, painted the walls, woodwork and ceiling in a warm, inviting red color that creates a unique burlesque atmosphere.

With the Night of Fashion as our tight deadline, we worked day and night to get everything done on time. And we did it! The opening was a dream come true. We met so many nice people and got great feedback. Every morning when we walk into the store, we feel proud and happy. What an adventure! 🤩🖤

Manuel had been planning to open a shop and tattoo parlor for years on his bucket list. I, Sien, also dreamed of having my own business for years after my education in entrepreneurship and fashion. And now we are here, with Wildside, our dream come true ❤️
